National Metrology Skills Alliance (NMSA)

The NMSA was founded on the back of work started by the Midlands Centre for Data-Driven Metrology where members of a special interest group are driving the actions necessary to align industry needs and CPD opportunities to ensure standards in the field of metrology.

The chairs of this special interest group

Trevor Toman (Professor of Metrology, Coventry University)

Philip Bamforth (Chief Metrologist & Senior Technical Specialist, Rolls-Royce)

The special interest group has been supported with academic representatives of Coventry University and the University of Nottingham. Recently, the group has been strengthened with industry representatives of the Institute of Measurement & Control.
